The high profile defamation case between Johnny Depp andamber heard has been decided with imposing defamation amount to both.
Depp sued his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she penned for The Washington Post where she described herself as a "a public figure representing domestic abuse".
Depp sued the 'his exwife for $50 million, while Heard countersued the depp for $100 million. Heard lamented and accused him for campaign against her for abuse and harrasment.
Amber heard seemed unsatisfied with the unanimous decision of the jury who found ambers defamation oas malicious and total amount of 15 million dollar was imposed on amber while depp was penalized for 2 million dollar.
Amber saidthat despite many evidences the decision was not understadable and she was heartbroken and no wordsto utter.
The Jury also decreed that Amber should received $2 million as she was also defamed when by Depp's lawyer called her abuse allegations a hoax.
Though the decision brought an end to years long case but depp felt that it brought his life back and truth has been revealed.
Earlier depp has been called wifebeater because of his wife accusation.
Depp, on hearing this verdict is celebrating the decision as a victory.
Heard, who was married to Depp from 2015 to 2017, obtained a restraining order against him in May 2016, citing domestic violence.
The case hasalso somehow affected their carreer progression.
